Fairs and exhibitions have always been a time for congregation and contrast.

In the craftsman’s diary there are a series of essential appointments for his sector. These are important moments of presentation to the general public and also to his colleagues, to other “experts”. From this direct contact with the public he may gather the fruits of a long season’s work. Comments, criticism and sales are all a way of judging one’s work, without forgetting the festive side to these great occasions...

Alongside these “fixed” appointments (days marked on the calendar) there are also permanent exhibitions where a particular type of production can be seen in the lateral valley throughout the year.
