Gressoney-Saint-JeanThe town of Gressoney-Saint-Jean lies at an altitude of 1385m above sea level and is a well-known tourist resort. It has been famous for its beautiful scenery since the beginning of the 1900s, in fact, in 1894 Queen Margherita chose to build “Castello Savoia” here, now it is used as a venue for numerous cultural and artistic exhibitions.
We have the impression that for each famous peak there is an IVAT shop: Grand Paradis, Mont Blanc…. Even Mont Rose offers us a sample of typical handicraft in the shop found along the main pedestrian street, in a historical building which awaits restoration.
